Dog Bite Prevention – School Outreach Program

Children make up the largest population segment of reported dog bites, and it is typically from a dog that the child knows.

This happens for several reasons:

Kids don’t respect a dog’s boundaries when they want to be left alone.
Children don’t respect a resource such as a toy or food and will mess with the dog while the dog is guarding the resource.
Kids typically are very high energy and some dogs don’t do well with that type of energy around them.

In this program, we come in and talk to kids about the proper way to interact with dogs. We provide a coloring book that talks about how we should interact with the dog. We also demonstrate with a dog the proper way to interact with the dog.

Elevate Canine Social Club (Bismarck only at this time)

Training shouldn’t end when the class is over. The Elevate Canine Social Club was created for owners who want more than just obedience lessons. They want real experiences, real exposure, and a better everyday life with their dog.

This monthly membership gives owners the opportunity to continue getting out, socializing, training and building confidence through structured group activities and real-world adventures.

This is not daycare, this is not a chaotic dog meetup and this is not just another obedience class. Every event is trainer-guided and intentionally designed to help dogs become calmer, more confident, and more well-rounded in everyday life.

Whether we’re grabbing coffee, walking downtown, relaxing on a brewery patio, hiking a trail, or working through distractions at a busy store, our goal is simple: to help owners raise dogs they can truly enjoy everyday life with.

Our dog showed great improvement after only the first day of training. She showed marked improvement every day she went to Elevate Canine Academy. Ez and Clay did a superior job working with her. Not only did our dog learn a lot but my husband and I probably learned more than she did. Our dog looked forward to school each and every day. We are so grateful for their professional service and dedication to training our dog. We would highly recommend Elevate Canine Academy to anyone whose dog needs training.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Skoobee graduated last week! He did such a good job learning and following commands. We as owners now have a foundation to build on. Super excited to watch him grow. All the trainers were very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are having difficulty with your dog I highly recommend Elevate.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Elevate Canine exceeded our expectations for Floki. Drop-off and pick up were a breeze and we loved the organized environment that was met right when we walked in. The training videos and daily review emails helped ease our minds that the training he learned in class would also be possible at home. We will definitely be recommending to others.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I are very happy with the trainers at Elevate. They took great care of our dog, (he did the 2 week training program) taught him basic obedience, and his overall temperament has gotten better. The communication was good and they were open to our questions and comments. They sent pictures of our dog being walked with other dogs, and sitting on his cot with a group of dogs as well. Being this was our first dog, we didn't know what to expect but are so glad that we sent him to them. We have signed up for more classes monthly. We trust Laura very much with our dog, and the other couple trainers he worked with as well. We know he is in good hands.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So impressed with our puppies time at Elevate. She was only 6 months old but learned so quickly and gained a lot of self control. Everyone was extremely friendly and I greatly appreciated all the notes on how her day went and how much the staff enjoyed having Bettie there! I would highly recommend anyone looking for training to consider Elevate!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Clay exceeded our expectations in every way. He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, answering every question with patience and confidence. His knowledge of dogs is exceptional, and it is clear that he genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners. The positive difference he has made for Bucky is beyond what we could have imagined. Bucky and I are truly grateful. Thank you, Clay, for your outstanding support—you have made a remarkable impact, and we highly recommend you.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would recommend Elevate Canine to anyone! I signed my dog up for the 3 week training program, mainly to help with his random aggression, but I also wanted help with improving his listening skills, nail trim desensitizating, not pulling on his leash, and overall being able to coexist with other people and dogs. Before Elevate Canine my dog and I mainly stayed home or had to go on a walk where no one else would be around - it was always a stress wanting to bring him in public around people, wanting to have people over, and/or not being able to go anywhere with him on trips, etc. After Elevate Canine, almost all of this stress has gone away and my dog is able to coexist with other people and dogs. There is still improvements to be had, but we have the tools now to keep working on it. My dog hardly ever pulls on his leash anymore, he listens after I tell him a command 1-2 times, and he now knows how to hold a place for long periods of times. He also was able to get his nails clipped for the first time in over a year or two, as he would never let anyone touch him/was fearful of the nail trimmers. Michaela, Laura, and Mandy loved and cared for my dog as their own, and I am so appreciative of them. They earned my trust immediately after day 1. I was able to text them with questions outside of working hours and they were always super willing and helpful. I'd give Elevate a 5 star rating and recommend them to anyone having similar struggles as I was. It is worth the investment! Seeing my dog get excited everyday when we would pull up to the building made my heart warm and says it all - I knew he was just having the best time learning with his new friends!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ez and Clay were great to work with. They took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and clearly. They emphasized that for my dog to be successful, I need to continue working with her at home and that changing her reactive and aggressive behaviors will take time. During the two weeks she was there, she made solid progress. Even more importantly, I learned what I need to do moving forward to help her continue improving.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Out dog Franklin is very anxious and would jump at other dogs with excitement, which turned into aggression. Since working with Elevate, his walks are now awesome and while he still gets anxious, he knows to 'leave it' and to 'heel'. His ability to be in a down position and in his place have drastically improved. I highly recommend Elevate Canine Academy

Gracie is a four year old- high energy dog. She’s part lab- part puddle. I took her to elevate the previous two weeks and I could see an improvement with her walking immediately. She learned new skills and went to some strange places but I think she’ll be able to be out walking in his HH traffic areas in no time. For me it was worth it for her to go. The training staff are so patient and good with the animals and what they do.
